CPF brings holiday cheer to families
Chairperson Bianca Zambetti shared that after a year of community outreach projects, they had accumulated a significant amount of children's clothing.
Dawn Park Rural Safety CPF organised a successful soup kitchen at the Mapleton Methodist Church, providing much-needed support to families, on December 4.
Chairperson Bianca Zambetti shared that after a year of community outreach projects, they had accumulated a significant amount of children’s clothing and identified 11 families in need for Christmas.
“Each family received a clothing hamper filled with essentials.
“Dawn Park Roots Butchery played a crucial role in this initiative by generously supplying meat for the meals, while the Dawn Park Rural Safety CPF sponsored additional ingredients and vegetables for the food parcels.
“The Food Bank from the Department of Social Development contributed further by providing extra parcels containing cleaning detergents and food staples.”

Zambetti said the event also featured lunch prepared by Dawn Park SAPS station commander Lieutenant Colonel Sibushi Makgakga, who served food to 127 community members.
“The 11 families were honoured with four parcels each, which included detergents, food staples, vegetables and clothing.”
Zambetti expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the initiative a success.
Looking ahead, the CPF plans to launch another soup kitchen initiative in January, focusing on assisting children returning to school in Villa Lisa.
