Boksburg High School learners secure medals at Greater Boksburg competition

Boksburg High School's athletic prowess was on full display at the Greater Boksburg Athletics Competition, with Akudo Ejimbe, Jenny Sekhu, and Roxy Postma claiming medals in their respective categories.

Boksburg High School has once again made its mark in athletics with three of its learners securing medals at the Greater Boksburg Athletics Competition held at the Germiston Stadium on February 21.

The event saw Akudo Ejimbe, Jenny Sekhu, and Roxy Postma excel in their respective categories, bringing pride to their school.

Akudo Ejimbe took home the bronze medal in the 200m girls U15 category, while Jenny Sekhu secured a silver medal in the long jump girls U19 category.

Roxy Postma stole the show by winning the gold medal in the long jump girls U15 category. Notably, Jenny Sekhu and Roxy Postma have qualified for the provincial competition, which is set to take place in Pretoria on March 7.

Principal Enoch Thango expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the learners, wishing them the best of luck as they move forward to the next round of competitions.

“We are incredibly proud of our learners for their outstanding performance. Their dedication and perseverance are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing them excel further,” he said.

“The success of these learners not only highlights our strong athletic programme but also the potential of our to compete at higher levels.”
