The two Boksburg North police officers arrested for cable theft made another appearance at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on November 23.
Sergeants Pretty Ndlovu and Solomon Hlengane are facing charges of copper theft, defeating the ends of justice and common robbery.
The matter was, however, postponed to December 6 for further investigation.
Ndlovu and Hlengane were arrested at work on February 1 by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate. Each officer was granted R3 000 bail.
They were previously sector managers at the police station.
Furthermore, the Boksburg Advertiser recently reported Ndlovu is now a designated firearm officer at the station, while Hlengane is also back at work.
