Impala Park man accused of killing neighbour back in court this month
The matter will resume on January 30.
Impala Park resident Evan Swanson (73), who allegedly shot and killed his neighbour, is expected back at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on January 30.
Swanson is charged with murder for shooting Klaas du Toit (37) twice in the upper body on August 18, last year, which he indicated to the court was in self-defence.
The court granted Swanson R5 000 bail on September 4, with the condition he resides with his daughter in Edenvale until the court finalises the matter. He must also report to the Edenvale Police Station every Friday.
In a previous appearance on October 23, Swanson indicated he wanted the bail conditions amended.
Swanson appeared in court on December 14, but the matter was postponed as the transcript was not complete.
