Arrests follow discovery of body in Boksburg North

The three suspects were arrested in Brakpan.

Three men, aged between 31 and 42, were arrested on October 30 following a multidisciplinary operation led by the Hawks Tactical Operations Management Section (TOMS), Benoni Flying Squad, Secure Tech, Graphite Security, Blue Hawk Tactical, DOT Towing, and Brakpan Crime Prevention in the East Rand.

According to Gauteng Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale, two men were arrested in connection with the murder of an unidentified man whose body was discovered severely beaten, stabbed, and dumped in a field in Boksburg North a few days ago.

“Through information received, the pair was traced to Brakpan, where they were apprehended.

“The third suspect was also arrested in Brakpan after being found in possession of a replica firearm and live ammunition.

Mogale added that the team recovered a baseball bat and a panga, both suspected to have been used as weapons in the murder.

The trio will appear in court soon.
