Man gunned down at shopping centre in Sunward Park
Police are following up on leads to track down the remaining suspects.

Police in Boksburg are investigating a case of murder after a gunman shot and killed a man at a Sunward Park shopping centre in what appears to be a hit.
According to police reports, the suspects, three men and one woman driving in a white Hyunday I10, arrived at the centre at about 18:00 on March 12.
One of the men alighted, approached the victim and shot him multiple times, before the car sped off.
According to police, nothing seemed to have been taken from the victim, who was subsequently certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
Nearby officers from Graphite Security pursued the getaway vehicle down the road. As the security vehicles remained hot on the suspects’ tail, one of the occupants was spotted exiting the moving car – while the others remained in the speeding getaway vehicle.
Officers managed to catch the man who exited the car and they found in his possession the gun used in the shooting.
The second security vehicle continued to pursue the other suspects until the remaining occupants of the getaway car jumped out and disappeared into the nearby overgrown field.
Officers combed through the veld, but could not find the trio.
The apprehended suspect was taken to the Boksburg Police Station and charged with murder. He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
The vehicle and the firearm used in the crime were confiscated.
Boksburg SAPS spokesperson confirmed that police officers received a report of a shooting at the shopping centre, and when they arrived they found a male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds lying on the ground.
Three 9mm empty cartridges were found on the scene.
Investigators say they are following up on leads to track down the remaining suspects who managed to escape.
