The Boksburg Advertiser is appealing to the community to once again help make a success of its annual Winter Wool Drive.
Donations of wool will help the advertiser to support various local groups who knit teddies and other items for distribution to the Cancer Association of SA and organisations that look after the underprivileged, especially in winter.
All qualities, quantities and textures are welcome. Knitted items such as beanies, scarves and blankets will also be appreciated.
Project coordinator Elize Kluyts urged community members to warm their hearts and knit to help us keep the needy warm.
Last year’s Winter Wool Drive has been the most successful one thus far, with organisations such as Tambo Babies Boksburg benefiting from the project.
Community members can make contributions from April 15 till July 31.
