Comedic duo Shan-Ray Van Wyk and Tsitsi Chiumya to bring laughter and inspiration to Delmore Park

There will also be an open mic segment that will give local youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a live audience.

Delmore Park is set to host a night of unforgettable laughter as comedians Shan-Ray Van Wyk and Tsitsi Chiumya bring their countrywide Comedy Night Tour to the community for the Christmas Comedy Show fundraiser on November 29.

The show will take place from 18:00 to 20:00 at 7 Malcome Ave.

Organised by non-profit organisation Youth Breaking Barriers, this exciting event promises a dose of “laughing therapy” while supporting vital community initiatives.

The comedic duo, co-hosts of the fast-growing podcast Popcorn and Cheese, a branch of the acclaimed MacG Podcast with over a million subscribers, are making a rare and much-anticipated stop in Delmore Park.

Founder of Youth Breaking Barriers, Terry-Ann Diergaardt, expressed her excitement about hosting the event.

“When I started the organisation, the vision was to aid and inspire the youth in my community. It gives me no greater joy to bring this show to our community, where events like these don’t often happen. My goal is to give the community a good time while inspiring young people to see firsthand that following your dreams is possible.”

Diergaardt also highlighted the determination it took to secure such a high-caliber act during the busy festive season.

“The 29th will be a dream come true for me. Many encouraged me to wait until next year, but I pushed forward and booked them for this event to give my community a special experience.”

In addition to the headline acts, there will be an open mic segment, giving local youth the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a live audience.

The event is a fundraiser for Youth Breaking Barriers and will also support the annual children’s christmas party organised by community advocate Charona Louw, who has been hosting this heartwarming initiative for over two years. Proceeds will help expand the reach of the event, which serves as a holiday highlight for many underprivileged children in the area.

The Christmas Comedy Show promises an evening filled with joy, inspiration, and holiday spirit. Residents and those in nearby communities are encouraged to attend and support these meaningful causes.
