East Rand Traders gives back on 27th birthday

East Rand traders Square is also running a ‘toy run’ in support of Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services and visitors are urged to contribute toys and gifts for children in need.

Visitors to East Rand Traders Square were in for a treat on November 30 and December 1, as this shopping spot celebrated its 27th birthday, which was on November 29.

The celebrations benefitted Boksburg-based Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services.

Ronal Sourimuthu, centre manager at East Rand Traders Square, said the event was a grand occasion, with a giant birthday cake, vouchers, gifts and plenty of prize giveaways.

“The celebration was special as we supported a local children’s home through a charity auction, where the highest bidder could sell a mini version of our birthday cake. The funds we donated to the children’s home in supporting their vital work.”

Speaking of this cornerstone of the local community since its establishment in 1997, Sourimuthu added for nearly three decades, it has remained a vibrant destination for shoppers, families and those seeking live entertainment and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
