Round Table holds successful charity event for the Boikanyo Foundation
From classic rock anthems to heartfelt community spirit, this charity event proved that together, we can make a powerful difference.
Round Table Boksburg 17 lit up the Barnyard Theatre, Emperor’s Palace, with their recent charity event, More Than a Feeling, which raised over R10 000 for the Boiykanyo Foundation.
It was a night filled with energy, laughter, and the greatest rock anthems, spanning from the iconic hits of the 80s to today’s modern classics.
The talented Barnyard musicians had the crowd singing along and even dancing in their seats, making it a night to remember.
“What made the evening even more special was the fellowship. Guests joined from Pretoria, the West Rand, and across the entire Gauteng area province. Their presence showed that Round Table is truly a family without borders, standing together for fellowship and community service,” said Cuan Maizey, treasurer of Round Table Boksburg 17.
Maizey explained that profits from the evening will go towards the Boikanyo Foundation, which plays a vital role in supporting the Mandela Heart Foundation. The funds raised help purchase life-saving equipment used for heart surgeries on children.
“In addition, proceeds will also further Round Table Boksburg 17’s community aims and objectives.”
A night of generosity
The highlight of the evening came during the charity auction, where a five-day Mozambique holiday sponsorship was secured and successfully auctioned off.
Maizey said the support from the community was outstanding, with an impressive 60% of the venue sold out.
“Round Table Boksburg 17 extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to the evening. The combination of great music, generosity, and community spirit made More Than a Feeling more than just a show. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can create together.”
