GALLERY: St Dom’s drummies clinch top spots at provincial contest

The winning teams would go on to represent the province in the national championships to be held in Cape Town in September.

Drum majorettes from St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls excelled when they claimed first place positions during the Gauteng provincial competition, which was hosted at St Dominic’s School on Saturday.

The outstanding performance by the St Dom’s drummies opened the doors for both the  junior and senior teams to represent Gauteng at the national championships.

The highly anticipated ‘Allan Donaldson Provincials’ drew in 26 talented majorette and cheerleading teams from across the region. The excitement was palpable as these teams vied for the top spots in this prestigious provincial championships.

Parents, teachers and pupils from the participating teams converged at St Dominic’s Catholic School for the mesmerizing performance.
