Punchy return of Mbenge and Ndongeni to the ring
Boxer of the Year returns to squared circle
Reigning South African Boxer of the Year Thulani Mbenge, with his counterpart from East London, Xolisani Ndongeni, will headline TLB Promotions’ first boxing tournament after six months of no competitive fights due to Covid-19.
The boxing extravaganza was initially scheduled to take place in March at the Riviera on Vaal in the City of Sedibeng and will now be held behind closed doors at the Klipspruit Sports Centre in Soweto on the night of October 17.
The seven-bout tournament will be headlined by Mbenge, who will square off against Katembo Kuvesa from the Democratic Republic of Congo for the vacant African Boxing Union Welterweight title, while Ndongeni will take on Prince Dlomo for the main supporting bout.
