‘9mm’ ready to fire in EFC 107
The fighter is preparing to get back into the hexagon in September.
Van Dyk Park’s Robert ‘9mm’ Swanepoel is confident he has what it takes to beat Angelo ‘AfroBoy’ Foloti in his EFC 107 fight at the Performance Institute on September 7.
The 40-year-old will take on Foloti in the lightweight bout.
Swanepoel said he was thrilled with his preparation for the fight.
“It’s going extremely well, and I do two training sessions at the moment.”
His message to his opponent: “Foloti doesn’t have enough experience to be with me in the cage, so it will be a long night for him.”
Swanepoel won one EFC fight on May 7 last year after defeating Masefi Ngoma in the EFC 94 welterweight bout at the Performance Institute.
The local fighter defeated Ngoma via TKO (strikes) at 0:39 in the second round.
Furthermore, Swanepoel recently suffered a loss at the EFC104 at the EFC Performance Institute.
In his latest fight, which took place on 24 hours’ notice, Lisaka Landoyi defeated him via a three-round unanimous decision in the catchweight bout.
