Cardinals teams rise to top

The Boksburg Cardinals Baseball Club’s junior teams again pulled out exceptional performances in their fourth match of the Eastern Baseball League at Barnard Stadium on November 5.
The Cardinals U10 team that thrashed Lakeshore Chinook 29-3 got a bye on the day. The Boksburg U10 team that beat the Red Sox Baseball Club in its previous match continued its winning streak by beating Southern Stars 20-17.
The Cardinals U12s that drowned Cheyenne Baseball Club’s chances of winning the match last week retained its winning form by beating Benoni Chiefs 15-3.
The Boksburg U12 team that lost against Benoni Camanches lost again to Imps.
The Cardinals U15s that won against Imps and Alexandra during a doubleheader last week remain unbeaten. They stunned the Benoni Mohawks 20-2.
Boksburg U15 redeemed itself after losing two previous matches by defeating Benoni Chippewa 13-11.
Cardinals U19 settled for a 10-10 draw against Imps.
