Mixed results for Boksburg Cardinals

Cardinals continue winning in the Eastern league.

The Cardinals U12 team defeated Apaches 5-0 in an exciting baseball match on home soil on November 24.

Home side Cardinals batted first, and Levi Hoggarth helmed the ship. Unfortunately, Hoggarth was struck out.

Emily Sole of the home side took up batting and instantly changed the dynamics of the match, scooping a point for the Cardinals.

The home team led the match 1-0.

Later, two Cardinals batters were eliminated by a good pitcher from the Apaches.

Madison Botha pitched well for the home side; pitching good spinners that frustrated the visiting batters. Botha eliminated two Cardinals players. Cardinals continued to lead the match 1-0.

Amber-Leigh da Kock later extended the lead for the Cardinals to 2-0. Logan Tait of the home side grabbed a good run to seal the deal for the home team, and they led the match 3-0.

Botha continued to pitch well throughout the match, not giving the visiting batters a chance to strike her balls precisely.

The home side mounted pressure on the visitors and grabbed two points before the match ended.

The Cardinals won the match 5-0.

In another match on the same day, the Cardinals U15 team thrashed Boksburg U15 28-4.

In other matches played on November 26, the Cardinals U10 beat the Cherokees 24-7.

Boksburg U10 was beaten by Imps 21-6. The Boksburg U12 were stunned by Southern Stars in a 10-8 defeat.
