The members entered the house to establish ownership of the vehicle and found a man in the house, with a minor girl sitting on a bed.
A family member of the minor was contacted and it was established that the girl (14) had been reported missing two months ago, at Nseleni in KwaZulu-Natal.
The man (33) was arrested after the minor indicated that they were staying together.
After further investigation it was found that a case of dealing in drugs is outstanding against the suspect.
He will appear in the Brakpan Magistrates Court on August 15, regarding this case.
He was also charged with statutory rape and has appeared in in court on this charge.
“Social workers are assisting the girl,” said Capt Joep Joubert.
