The school is now being jointly run by an executive management committee made up of three principals, each referred to as a co-principal.
The principals are Debi Broderick (administration and non-teaching staff), Joyce Anderson (public relations, marketing, interns and remedial staff) and Logan Naina (education and teaching staff).
The reason for this radical change in management structure was due to Anderson, the school’s principal in 2012, falling ill.
The school was then run by deputy Naina and former principal Broderick.
With this in mind, the current management and board of directors looked at other structures that would prevent a recurrence of the situation and also provide a more equitable distribution of duties among senior management.
It was decided to adopt a collegial management system and adapt it to suit the school and its needs.
The system was implemented in part last year, and with the return of Anderson this year, it is now in full swing.
According to the school, the system has raised some academic interest and a university is keenly watching its developments.
