Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (July 4, 5 and 6):

Friday

Two cars were stolen.

A white Volkswagen Beetle was stolen from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Voortrekker Road, and a white Toyota Hilux bakkie was stolen from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Kitzinger Street.

A home in Hosking Street, Brenthurst, was burgled of a DVD player, car keys, a cellphone and three bottles of liquor.

Burglars stole a television set, speakers, a DVD player, two amplifiers and other household appliances from an address in Mahogany Street, Dalpark.

A shop along Simunye Street, Mkhancwa Village, was broken into and robbed of a laptop, a generator, airtime, cigarettes and cash.

Security guards at a business along Koot Street, Withok Estates, were tied up and threatened at gunpoint by an unknown number of robbers.

The business owner was alerted to the robbery at about 6pm.

The robbers stole truck tyres, a computer and a generator.

Saturday

Two television sets were stolen from a home along Wildevy Street, Dalpark.

Sunday

Burglars stole two television sets and a laptop from an address along Andries Street, Sunair Park.
