In her thesis, titled Managing the Professional Development of Primary School Teachers by Means of Action Research, Ghanchi-Bedasie develops, implements and evaluates a site-based programme for the professional development of teachers in science and mathematics.
Her findings constitute a powerful body of evidence on how the professional development of teachers could be managed and constantly improved by means of action research.
Ghanchi-Bedasi, who lives in Benoni, has been the principal of Brenthurst Primary School since 2006.
