Emergency repair work at substation will leave Brakpan without power

Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive.

Technicians will conduct emergency electrical equipment repairs at the Van Eck Park Substation on Saturday, June 24, from 10pm to 7am the following morning.

With the exception of Brakpan North, the whole of Brakpan, Langaville and Geluksdal will be without power during this time.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality advised residents to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive at all times while the work is being carried out.
