The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (October 17 to 18):

Cases reported:

• Theft: 2
• Possession of unlicensed firearm: 1
• Speeding: 4
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 2
• Residential burglary: 2
• Business burglary: 1
• Tampering with infrastructure: 3
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Common assault: 1
• Business robbery: 1

Arrests:

• Speeding: 4
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Theft: 1
• Business robbery: 1
• Common robbery: 2

Business robbery:

• A shop in Prince George Avenue was robbed by four armed men at around 10.30am yesterday (Tuesday).

The shop’s owner and a female employee were threatened at gunpoint and tied up.

The robbers fled with cellphones and other goods.

Burglary:

• Lemmer Road, in Vulcania (business).

The property was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: Toolboxes and a computer monitor.

• Augrabies Avenue, in Dalpark Extension Six.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A laptop, pair of tekkies and two stainless steel pots.

• Spitskop Avenue, in Leachville.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: TVs, a laptop, DVD player and cellphones.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Volkswagen Golf was stolen from Devon Road, in Dalview, on Monday.

Theft from a motor vehicle:

• Tyres were stolen from a bakkie parked at an address along Lester Road, in Brenthurst, on Monday.
