Daily crime watch

The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (November 16 to 17):

Cases reported:

• Theft: 4
• Residential burglary: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 3
• Common assault: 1
• Business burglary: 1
• Trespassing: 1
• Contempt of court: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1

Arrests:

• Business burglary: 1
• Theft, pointing of firearm and assault: 2
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Possession of counterfeit money: 1
• Theft of bank cards: 2

Burglary:

• Heidelberg Road, in Withok.

The break-in took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: Fishing equipment and tools.

• Victoria Avenue (business).

The premises were burgled yesterday (Thursday).

Stolen: Jewellery, a router and a laptop cable.

One suspect was arrested.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• Two mag wheels and a battery were stolen from a car parked at business premises along Prince George Avenue, on Wednesday.

Five car batteries were also stolen from the property.

• Two batteries were stolen from a truck parked along Airport Drive, in Dalpark, yesterday.

• A roller door was stolen from a truck parked at an address in Lemmer Road, Vulcania, yesterday.

One suspect was arrested in connection with the theft.
