According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (February 14 to 15):

Cases reported:

• Reckless driving: 1
• Theft: 3
• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Possession of drugs: 2
• Residential burglary: 1
• Murder: 1
• Intimidation: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 2
• Shoplifting: 1
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Failure to lock up firearm: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 2
• Shoplifting: 1
• Fraud: 1
• Warrant of arrest: 1
• Murder: 1

Burglary:

• Camelthorn Crescent, Dalpark.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Kitchen appliances.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Toyota Hilux Dakar was stolen from the parking lot of Mall@Carnival yesterday morning (Thursday).

Around the same time, a white Ford Fiesta was tampered with and its driver’s side door was damaged.

• On Tuesday, a white Opel Kadett was stolen from Carnival City.

Theft out of/from motor vehicle:

• A laptop and a digital camera were stolen from a vehicle in Main Reef Road, Anzac, yesterday.

• Last night, a car parked at Carnival City was broken into.

The vehicle’s radio, a cellphone and a tablet were stolen.
