Concerned residents of Brakpan Central tired of drug dealers operating within and around the town provided the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) with information about individuals suspected of dealing in narcotics.
The DEU sprang into action in an early morning operation whereupon three foreign nationals were arrested when khat and crystal methamphetamine were found in their house.

The arrests and seizure of the drugs happened around 5am this morning (Friday).
“The address of a house in Kingsway Aveue given by informants was raided where the DEU members found three male Nigerian nationals,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.
The search of the house revealed 35 ziplock bags of crystal methamphetamine and six ziplock bags of khat hidden in the roof of the house.

The total estimated street value of the drugs is R11 700.
A cash amount of R1 080 was also confiscated from the three suspects.
