Technicians are closely monitoring the water level at Sallies Reservoir which is affected by low supply from Rand Water.

The low water supply from Rand Water affects customers in Brakpan and surrounding areas.

According to the City of  Ekurhuleni, the restoration of water supply will depend on the recovery of the Rand Water supply system.

To mitigate the effects of the supply interruption, the city has provided water tankers to the affected areas.

They include Brenthurst, Ergo/Mkhankwa, Maryvlei, Sallies Village, Vulcania, Withok and Witpoortjie.

Residents will be updated of developments through the city’s digital platforms.
