Gloomy weather doesn’t dampen fun walk
The fun walk was attended by around 40 participants.
Despite the cold and wet weather, the Red Cross Walk for Change took place on Sunday.
Walkers came together at the Eventide Old Age Home from 08:00 to participate in either a 5km, 10km or children’s walk.
There was an entry fee to participate, which went towards fundraising efforts for the Red Cross as well as Eventide.
Dean van Zyl (10), a learner from Laerskool Môrewag, finished first.
Even with rain clouds looming, around 40 people participated.
