Village of Hope ‘Walks a Mile’ for Mgongo community

Village of Hope’s Walk a Mile Drive saw families receive clothing and children receive school shoes, food and party packs.

Local non-profit organisation Village of Hope hosted its Walk a Mile Drive on August 13 in the Mgongo informal settlement (Old Location), bringing support and hope to families and children in the community.

During the drive, families received clothing, while 38 learners received school shoes. Soup and bread rolls, as well as party packs, were also provided to the children and community members.

“Village of Hope would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Pick n Pay Mall@Carnival, Thandimfundo Learning Academy, and the community for their generous support and contribution towards making the initiative a success,” said the NPO’s founder Tumie Masolane.
