Jaundrie Jenstch - It does not make sense, as only 22 per cent of land is owned by farmers, how will the government divide that 22 per cent by 78 per cent of people who still need and want land? Our economy is going to suffer tremendously from this as our government and our country cannot afford to fund the poor to maintain the farms. This is a big concern for SA.
Tiaan van Nispen – It is not fair, no one ever stole any land, people way back then had to negotiate and buy the land. Those who own land had to work for it. I also cannot see how land can be given away to the poorer people, our government is already in big debt, the banks cannot fund everyone, so where will the money come from to do this?Hannes Peens – I am totally against it as we will never be able to own anything, as it will belong to the government and it goes against the constitutional law. Our economy will decrease dramatically. This is only a case where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Why would anyone want to pay or maintain something that will never belong to them?Albert Lintvelt – This was not thought through thoroughly. Our economy will change dramatically in a negative way. People can not just get land for free, as the current owners are paying for that land, when it gets taken away from them, who is going to pay? The banks will and cannot fund everyone. It is not possible, our country does not have that type of money.Charlene van Vuuren – It is the last thing that South Africa and the people in it needs. I am very concerned about our economy. Everybody who owns land or property will not pay any longer if it is going to be taken away from them, so who is going to pay and fund this? Our government is in debt because of Zuma, our country cannot afford this.
