Bartlett will fly the flag in Egypt
Brakpan Wrestling Club is home to yet another talented young wrester, Matthew Bartlett.

Bartlett, a Grade Nine student at Hoërskool Stoffberg, took part in the National Cadet Trials in March and earned top honours.
He was subsequently included in the South African Cadet Team that will represent the country at the Africa Cadet Championships to be held in Alexandria, Egypt, from May 16 to 21.
This is an exceptional achievement for the 15-year-old.
He will participate in the u-17 division in the 54kg to 58kg category and hopes to fulfil his dream of qualifying for and representing South Africa at the World Cadet Championships.
To do this, Bartlett will need to win a medal at the Africa Cadet Championships and, should he achieve this, he will become Brakpan Wrestling Club’s youngest ever wrestler to qualify for a world championship.
The next five weeks will be tough for the young wrestler as his training schedule is extremely tight, but as his coach Rassie Erasmus, Bartlett’s coach, said: “It is only through hard work, self-discipline and commitment that a wrestler can reach such achievements.”
Brakpan Wrestling Club congratulated their wrestler for his remarkable successes so far and wished him well in achieving his goals.
