Dalpark FC do damage

Brakpan’s Dalpark Football Club (DFC) took on ACS in the Benoni South Local Football Association Division One, on Saturday, February 7, at the Actonville Stadium.

Coach Brian Fray’s men played well to ensure a 5-2 victory.

DFC went into the halftime break 2-1 up, but had to endure the remainder of the second period without their goalkeeper, after he was sent off for a reckless challenge.

AFC equalised about 10 minutes into the second stanza, but Fray’s team managed to regroup and play well as a unit.

The galvanised DFC outfit added three more after the equalising strike, to put the game totally out of the reach of their opponents.

“It was a brilliant performance from the boys considering that we were a player down,” said Fray.

“I hope that we can get stronger after this much-needed result.”

Goal-scorers on the day were Tinashe Simburela, Isack Tshabalala and Zanokohle Radebe, with a brilliant hat trick.
