English Roses run riot on East Rand soil
The Ladies Polo International between England and South Africa took place at the East Rand Polo Club, in Bapsfontein, on Sunday, August 23.
The English Roses were always going to be tough customers for the South African team and it proved to be as the English team put on a polo master class to win 9-0 in the four chukka match.
England’s number three Hazel Jackson in particular was a mighty handful for the South African women.
The international coincided with the Men’s South African Championship held over the course of the weekend.
