Local girl dominates Gauteng East tournament

The youngster won the singles competition.

Brakpan’s Carmen Delport emerged victorious at the recent Gauteng East Tennis Tournament in Benoni.

The youngster won the singles competition in the girls u-10 category.

She beat Neriya Nayager to claim victory.

Results for the singles competition from the tournament are as follows:

• Boys u-10: 1 Wilhelm Badenhorst, 2 Eben Badenhorst.

• Boys u-11: 1 Taahir Mia, 2 Rainier van der Merwe.

• Boys u-12: 1 Joshua Perry. 2 Arron van Eck.

• Boys u-14: 1 Julian Lee, 2 Eugene Labuschagne.
