Brakpan Rugby Pub’s pool teams were in high spirits recently when the ESP winter season of 2019 came to an end.
They were recently acknowledged at the annual prize-giving.
The pub’s B division players had a solid season bringing home numerous trophies and winning the top spot in their category.
Dayne Frederiksen, who won the top 16 on two occasions, was selected for Team SA.
Christy Raper not only finished as a top 16 qualifier but claimed ESP singles winner in his division.
Captain Shawn Raper and Jacques Barnard both finished in the top 16 qualifiers.
Tony Maartens took the runner-up spot.
Petro Olivier felt proud to be a part of the team as the team earned promotion to the A division where they will be battling it out for another successful season.

Brakpan’s D division team Jacques Olivier (team captain), Tokkie Raper, Spyker van Tonder, Tiaan van Tonder and Dullen Jansen van Vuuren also made a name for themselves as Mugs winners.
The club aims at growing and developing the sport for all ages even for beginners.
Coaching is available and any newcomers are welcome.
