Footballers back on the field

The 2020 season did not get started due to the coronavirus outbreak but there may be some hope for next year.

Following a long frustrating year, there seems to be some hope for local football clubs.

The Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) has granted clubs permission to start training and play friendlies.

The ELFA has instructed clubs to appoint a Covid-19 compliance officer who will be responsible for making sure all safety measures against the virus are handled.

With friendlies now allowed to be played, local clubs wasted little time as Brakpan Spurs took on Tik Tok FC in Boksburg on Saturday.

Talkmore Gore scored the only goal as Spurs won 1-0.
