Spurs shares spoils in thriller

The visitors were more determined in the second half as they pushed for an equaliser.

A four-goal thriller between Brakpan Spurs and Alberton FC ended in a draw on Saturday at the Brakpan Sports Grounds.
The local side were held 2-2.
Spurs started as the brighter of the two sides as they put their opponents under pressure from the opening whistle. Their hard work was rewarded in the 33rd minute when Lungelo Mathebula scored a spectacular free kick to give the hosts the lead.

The visitors were more determined in the second half as they pushed for an equaliser.
It came as no surprise when they levelled matters midway through the second half.
Ten minutes later, Alberton went ahead as it looked like Spurs would be beaten at home.
Both the visitors’ goals came about as a result of defensive errors Brakpan will have to work on.
An injury time throw-in from Mathebula saw Trymore Patsanza flicking one to save the match by making sure the teams share the spoils.
Spurs u-17 side drew 1-1 against Mageba United.
On Saturday the senior side will face TTSSA in Brakpan. This will be the last match of the first round of Easterns Football League Association games.
The u-17 side will take on Kempton Park FC in the first of the second round matches at the Brakpan Sports Grounds.
