Fans allowed back in stadiums
Spectators will be expected to follow the rules of social distancing and have to wear their masks.
The Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) has announced that supporters are allowed back at the stadiums.
Fans have not been allowed to attend matches since the country went into the Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020. The ELFA have now changed this.
“Please note that with the President’s announcement, we have moved to Level 2. This means that the restrictions on supporter attendance is relaxed and as such, supporters are now allowed,” read a statement from ELFA’s Theo Schunke released on Monday.
There will be, however, conditions to this relaxation of restrictions.
Spectators will be expected to follow the rules of social distancing and have to wear their masks.
Players will still have to be sanitised.
This means that Brakpan Spurs will be allowed to have spectators when they host bottom of the log FC Amadino on Saturday.
Spurs are currently four points behind log leaders Alberton with a game in hand.
