The Brakpan Sports Association (BSA) Cup Games for the season 2025/2026, the association’s fifth edition, kicked off with 11 teams competing for the coveted championship cup.

“The tournament brought great football, excitement, teamwork and unforgettable moments to our community,” said BSA chairperson Maria Makola.

The semi-finals saw bouts between Young Stars FC and Anzac Dolphins FC, as well as Alliance FC and Tsakane Rangers FC.

Young Stars came out victorious and secured their place in the final, while Alliance claimed victory to book theirs.

“What an amazing final it was. The match went all the way to penalties, creating an unforgettable finish to an incredible tournament,” said Makola.

Alliance FC were crowned champions for the season.

“A huge congratulations to coach Sammuel Mohlokalebelo and Kabelo Mojela, and to the entire Alliance team,” she said.

“We would like to thank all 11 participating teams, including players, coaches, officials and supporters, and everyone who contributed to making this fifth edition a success.”

The BSA invites new teams and clubs to join leagues in soccer, netball, basketball and chess.
