Afrikaans music legends to perform at Carnival
Steve Hofmeyr and Juanita du Plessis are two of Afrikaans music’s most successful performers.
On Friday, May 30, and Sunday, June 1, fans can see them share the stage at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.
The legendary pair boast more than 4.5 million albums sold between them, making them the top two selling artists in Afrikaans music history.
Not only will they be performing their own greatest hits, but they will also be collaborating on their personal favourites.
Du Plessis is a SAMA award winner in the category of Best Afrikaans DVD for her 10th Annual Platinum Hits.
The DVD contains her most successful hits spanning the first 10 years of her singing career.
Her “Jy voltooi my” album was also voted as the Best Pop Album in 2013.
The multi-talented Hofmeyr won the SAMA’s Best Selling South African Artist of the Year”, and is equally well known for his acting abilities.
His music needs little introduction to his myriad fans.
The Friday show starts at 8pm, and the Sunday shows at 1pm and 5pm.
