A feather in their cap

PVA’s Jaco du Toit has been charged with overseeing the auction of the home on October 16.

Stemming from the liquidation of Deshelf 25, the property in question is located at 826 Lyster Avenue. A double-storey affair, the property comprises a double-volume entrance foyer, a study, a guest cloakroom, a lounge, an open-plan dining room and family room with built-in braai, a kitchen and scullery.

The upper level features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the main one of which is en-suite with a dressing room. Each bedroom boasts timbered doorways which open out on to small private balconies. The property also features a double garage and domestic accommodation and measures 525m² in total.

Notes Du Toit: “This is the type of home many families aspire to own. It’s beautifully designed, aesthetically appealing, features a lovely garden and top-end fixtures and is located within one of Johannesburg’s most sought-after estates.”

Featherbrooke Estate has long been the jewel in the West Rand’s residential crown. It offers a collection of communal gardens, free access to the neighbouring Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, a clubhouse and restaurant, a skateboard park, cricket nets, soccer, netball, squash and tennis facilities and a variety of other amenities besides.

“Suffice to say this is a hot property which will pique the interest of families seeking a statement address. We’re already fielding a lot of interest which usually translates into large bidding crowds come auction day. As such, if this type of property is for you, be sure to be at the auction and make your presence known.”
