Several teams participated in the fun netball day organised by the Warriors netball club in Carletonville last weekend.

The event was held at Wonderfontein High School on August 1.

According to the club’s spokesperson, Joe Bosch, men’s, women’s and mixed teams from the area participated.

The Oupa Malefo team won the men’s category, with Green Warriors coming in second, while the Panthers Pink team won the women’s category. Warriors Pink was second, while Oupa Malefo and the Panthers Black teams were third. The Warriors Blue and Wonnies teams finished fourth. The Elites team also participated in this category.

The Panthers Grey team won the mixed category, with Oupa Malefo as the runners-up and Warriors Orange third.

Dream Chasers were fourth, Warriors Blue fifth and Wonnies Mixed sixth.
“Thank you all for joining us and congratulations to everyone,” Bosch said after the event.
