Khutsong Extension 6 house robbery leaves children tied up

Three armed suspects reportedly tied up three siblings and stole cellphones and electrical appliances before fleeing in a red VW Polo.

A group of house robbers struck a home at Khutsong Extension 6 near Welverdiend this week.

This crime took place on August 27.

A resident (42) was on her way back to her home at about 18:30 when she received a call from her children.

The children told her that there were three unknown men in the house.

The woman rushed home and luckily found her children unharmed.

Her son told police that when he opened the door, an unknown man pointed a firearm at him. The criminals tied the boy and his two siblings’ hands with electrical cords and searched the house.

The thugs grabbed three cellphones and electrical appliances and then fled in a red VW Polo with Free State registration plates.
