Daylight robbery shocks Oberholzer residents

Domestic worker tied up as robbers ransack Marthinus Street home.

Robbers struck a home in Oberholzer in broad daylight this week.

A domestic worker in Marthinus Street was busy outside at approximately 12:00 on Friday, March 6.

Suddenly, three unknown men jumped over the gate and overpowered her. They then forced her into the house and tied her with cable ties.

They then started to ransack the house. Police suspect they were interrupted by something, as they only fled with jewelry.

The thugs jumped into a white, unknown model Renault and sped off.

The police ask that anyone who might have seen this car or who might have information that can lead to the arrest of the criminals to contact Captain Jacques Nagel of the Carletonville Detectives on 082 880 4611.
