Taxi association queue marshal shot dead in Khutsong Extension 5

A 36-year-old Khutsong Extension 5 resident and queue marshal for the Carletonville Local and Long Distance Taxi Association was shot and killed in front of his wife during a violent armed robbery at their home on May 26.

A resident of Khutsong Extension 5 was brutally murdered in front of his wife this week.

This crime also happened on May 26.

The resident (36) arrived at his home in the 80s of Khutsong Extension 5 with two unknown men at about 23:00.

According to his wife, the men spoke English, but she could hear that they were actually isiZulu speakers. The men had firearms and demanded that the husband give them his firearm.

They then told the wife to lie on the ground and started to search the house.

They then shot the husband, who is a queue marshal of the Carletonville Local and Long Distance Taxi Association (CALLDTA).

The wife discovered after they had left that they had also stolen money from the house. Her husband died at the scene.

The police in Carletonville are investigating murder and house robbery cases.
