Blyvooruitzicht resident shot while fleeing armed attackers

A 40-year-old man was wounded in the arm after three masked suspects opened fire during an early morning attack.

A resident of Blyvooruitzicht was attacked by a group of thugs this week.

This crime took place on June 26.

The man (40), a resident of 37th Avenue, stood up to relieve himself at about 03:30.

He walked to the open area across from his home, as he had no water in his house.

He had just walked into the veld when three masked men walked in his direction.

When the thugs, who spoke Sesotho, called the man, he decided to try to run away.

While he was fleeing, he heard four shots go off.

He realised that he had been shot in his right arm but managed to reach his house, from where he phoned an ambulance and was taken to Carletonville Hospital.
