Detectives arrested a man from Fochville in connection with the sexual assault of a boy this week.

The boy (12) woke up his mother (37) at about 22:43 on October 3.

He told her that his uncle (41), who sleeps in the living room, had come into his room.

The uncle then pulled down his pants and had allegedly sexually assaulted him.

The boy’s mother confronted the uncle, but he denied the allegations.

He, however, ran away when the mother called the police. The uncle was later arrested.
