Self-respect and self-confidence. These are the two attributes that the Jesus Christ Foundation are promoting with the Miss Kitty Pageant for young girls. The event will be held at the Carletonville Civic Centre on 10 March and there will be two categories. Girls between the ages of 6 and 9 can compete for the Miss Kitty title and the elder entrants (10 to 16) will be vying for the Miss JC Foundation. The Jesus Christ Foundation Global was launched last year with the aim of instilling morality within communities. Its objective is to contribute to community building by sponsoring projects that support community growth. It has, therefore, sponsored projects like soccer tournaments in schools, netball tournaments, beauty pageants, matric appreciations, Christmas celebrations and Mandela Day projects.
