17 hospitalised in Rustenburg following an alleged gas leak

According to Russell Meiring of ER24 17 people were hospitalised this morning following an alleged gas leak at an office in Rustenburg.

He says that ER24 Paramedics, along with the Municipal Fire Services, arrived on the scene to find numerous people evacuating the building.

A triage area was set up to tend to the patients on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that seventeen people were experiencing breathing difficulties.

The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but the relevant authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
