Lepharo invites entrepreneurs to incubation programme
Lepharo is inviting local entrepreneurs to an incubation programme that will be taking place on Thursday 23 September at Khutsong Township 01 Sompane Road.
Lepharo was established in 2006 and launched its technology business centre in February 2011 in Springs, Ekurhuleni, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. It offers a combination of business, technical training and mentoring for budding entrepreneurs, as well as an incubation space. Lepharo was formally registered as a not-for-profit company, and governed by a detailed memorandum of agreement, signed by all the stakeholders.
It is also constituted of a pool of stakeholders (City of Ekurhuleni, Ekurhuleni Base Metals, Exxaro, Gold One, IZASA, Impala Platinum, Lonmin, Macsteel, PG Group, SEDA) ensuring participation from both the private and public sector responsible for economic development. The principal mission is to provide support through: Skills development, Value creation, Entrepreneurial mentorship. It is a National Incubation programme which is fairly new in Merafong and it’s based in Khutsong at the former business centre. All qualifying and aspiring small and medium enterprises are hereby invited to apply to be part of the Incubation Programme.
The specifications of the criteria is that the companies have to be 100% black owned, women owned and youth owned(EME and QSE) of goods and services with the experience and qualifications in the mining or related commodities.
Companies with focus on areas such as mining related value chain, fuel and chemicals, metal
commodities, engineering products as well as services, manufacturing of mining related products
and production consumables are encouraged to apply. All interested parties can apply in person at
Khutsong Business Centre and must ensure that they have the compulsory documents such as
company registartion documents, certified ID copy for each director, business profile, proof of
