Bus rear-ends another, leaving man seriously injured

A man was seriously injured when a bus rear-ended another on the N3 northbound highway in Germiston on December 15.

ER24 and other services arrived at 21:08 to find the two buses in the middle of the road.

Several people were seen walking around on scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found the driver of one bus, a man in his 40s, had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.

“The man was treated and provided with advanced life-support interventions before he was transported to a private hospital for further care,” said Russel Meiring, communications officer from ER24.

The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
