Alberton: Greenfields man dies in hail of bullets in South Hills
No witnesses were available at the scene.
Terrence Bradley du Plessis was fatally shot at Millwood Court on the corner of Southern Klipriviersberg and Quantock roads in South Hills on January 5 at about 16:45.
The Moffat View SAPS attended the scene, including station commander Colonel Govender, detective commander Lieutenant Colonel Mafukama and Vispol commander Lieutenant Colonel Narainen.
Captain Shisana reported that he was on duty when he was informed about a shooting at the abovementioned address. Upon arrival, he found Rudolf Sykes (one of the community patrollers), who said he heard about the shooting from a WhatsApp group.
“Upon arrival, I found one coloured male lying in a pool of blood with several gunshots to the head and body,” noted Shisana.
People alleged to be related to the deceased arrived later. The paramedics were contacted, and they declared the person deceased on arrival. Further information revealed that the deceased stayed in Greenfields near Palmridge with his girlfriend.
The local crime record centre personnel were contacted to come to the scene. Operational Command Centre members were present at the scene. No witnesses were available at the scene.
